.) Rain rain rain!
.) You can actually have hot drinks (without melting)
.) Making your room feel cozy with candles and blanketsI am an extreme candle lover and I constantly have candles burning all throughout the year, but they totally just complete the autumn atmosphere when lit. Couple some wonderful candles (like Bath & Body Works lovely fall scents) with some super fluffy blankets and you have a lovely little nest to spend your autumn evenings in.
.) Darker nail polishes & makeup
.) LayeringAlong with being able to finally wear sweaters again, I love being able to layer cute jackets, coats and scarves in the chillier weather! I feel like there are so many more options in terms of creating outfits in the fall than there are in summer. In summer all I want is to stay cool so I usually just throw on a pair of shorts and blouse and not pay too much mind to accessories, but in the fall I'm all about jazzing up my outfits so expect more outfit posts in the fall!
.) Boots (and the cozy socks you wear inside them, of course!)
.) Halloween movies are on TV again!Growing up I remember gathering on the sofa with my brothers on October evenings to watch the night's Halloween movie on Disney Channel. My favorites were always "Hocus Pocus" and "The Little Vampire", I could probably quote about half of each - no shame! And now that I'm older I also love watching horror movies, so with different channels bringing back all their Halloween and horror movies I am as happy as can be. But I might be spending some nights watching comedies after those horror movies...
.) HolidaysOctober and December bring some of my favorite holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving and all my brothers' birthdays, as well as my own! I feel like these are the months I see my relatives the most and spend the most time with my family, which is huge reason why autumn/fall is one of my favorite seasons!
.) Winter is nearMy love for autumn is also shared with my love for winter! Here in LA, they're pretty much combined into one big season of "chillier" weather, but I still like to think of them as two different seasons that way I can be excited over fall and then get excited all over again for winter and all it brings. Winter weather, Christmas music and of course two wonderful holidays, Christmas and New Years!
So there you go, my top ten reasons I love autumn. I could probably go on and on for days about why I love autumn so it was tough to cut it down to ten, but I feel like I figured out the one that really capture my love for the coming months. There is still quite a bit of time until I can do most of these things, but that just builds up the anticipation even more!
